OUR APPROACH
We aim to boost the confidence and subsequent performance of tutees by identifying and addressing any "gaps" and consequent weaknesses as early as possible.
Whilst many students often have difficulties with the same topics in the sciences and mathematics, each student has a preferred learning style and study habits. Our tutors adapt activities to suit individual preferences.
OUR FIRST MEETING
Our first online meeting is usually held on Zoom with the tutee and a parent. This no obligation meeting usually lasts no more than half an hour and is free of charge.

Introduction
Goldhill Education Ltd (hereafter referred to as “we” or “us”) is a provider of private tutoring services, consultancy and advice to individual students and training to teachers, schools and colleges. Client privacy is very important to us - as successful private tuition necessarily depends upon the establishment of a degree of privacy between client and tutor. This notice applies to the tutoring, mentoring and training services which we provide. Broadly speaking our company policy is to restrict the scope of contact details to only email addresses of the client. We will not pass on the email addresses to any other party – including other clients. This policy explains the nature and extent of the client data which we collect and hold. Please read this policy carefully and contact us should you have any questions or concerns.

What information do we collect?
We collect only the name and email addresses “contact details” of our clients. The information is normally supplied by the client either as a result of their initial enquiries which are usually by email. We do supply clients with our mobile phone number (via our public website) and clients might contact us through that means. In such instances the client’s phone number will remain stored by default on the mobile phone but is not identified as belonging to a specific client. All communication initiated by Goldhill Education between the company and its clients is made by email. We do record brief academic information regarding all tutees at the time of engagement. Specifically, we note the subjects being followed and current grades achieved – as judged by the school or college and as reported to us by the tutee or their parent. This is used purely as a “benchmark” guidance for the purposes of our tutors and is not divulged to any other party at any time.
In addition, a tutoring log is maintained by tutors for all our tutees. This includes the date and duration of all tutorials conducted, a note of the subject content covered and activities undertaken. This information is used to construct an itemised invoice for our services and to provide guidance for tutors when planning. This information is not divulged to any party other than the tutee and/or their clients.
How do we use personal information?
As noted above the content of tutorials and the results of any private assessments conducted may be recorded by tutors on the tutoring log. This information might be used by tutors as the basis of an informal report for clients on the progress of the student. This will normally be written in the form of an email sent with the itemised invoice.
In addition we will occasionally use the parent email address to alert them to other events, services, or products which might be of interest to the specific student in support of their studies and the studies of their friends, siblings,other relatives and associates
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
In order to use our services clients or tutees will have made initial contact with us by email. Thus we assume clients agree to our using their email address to contact them regarding:
- the progress made in tutorials by the tutee
- timing of arrangements for the tutee to attend tutorials
- the payment for our services
- occasional other services which might be of interest and value to your son or daughter, their friends, siblings and other relatives
When do we share personal data?
We will treat personal data confidentially will not share it with any other parties.
Where do we store and process personal data?
All student “academic” information regarding the above processes is kept on a single computer file which is password and virus protected and accessible only to our senior staff. The data is backed up daily.
How do we secure personal data?
All our email communication is performed using secure email systems. All data is stored on password protected computer systems.
